About

Who is Jason Craft Corporation?

Jason Craft Corporation is a family-run sourcing and product development company in Taipei, founded in 1981 and named after its founder, Jason. It has shipped from Taiwan since 1981 and from China since 1995, and has since expanded to Vietnam. Today it is run by his son, Jeffrey Chen, as a 25-person team serving North American home retail.

Forty-five years of crossings

The company started with small hardware, rag dolls and furniture. Today it is home fragrance, tabletop and home décor. Made in Taiwan, then China, then Vietnam. Contract manufacturing, then product development, then programs for international retail. Hand-kept books, then ERP, then AI.

None of those crossings felt like "transformation" at the time. They felt like: do this, or don't survive. What a company like ours holds on to is not a product line or a market. It is the habit of changing with the environment — that is the only thing that carried across all of it.

Many of the buyers we work with today did business with Jason first.

Today the company is headquartered in Taipei, with its own development, sourcing and quality control team in Shenzhen, China, and staff on the ground in Vietnam.

Jeffrey Chen, CEO

Jeffrey Chen is the second-generation CEO of Jason Craft Corporation. He studied history, and runs a 25-person trading company that he is rebuilding around AI: the information work goes to machines, the judgment stays with the people who have walked the factory floor. He documents the rebuild weekly on LinkedIn.

"AI made knowing cheap. It made judgment with accountability more valuable than ever."

Before the quote

We start from where the product will sit — channel, retail price, shelf — and work back to the material, origin and factory that can hit it.

Two origins, one program

Dual-origin programs are built before tariffs make them urgent, so a buyer can move volume without restarting development.

A quote that holds

Currency clauses and rate locks, so January's number still holds in June.

Details before chargebacks

Compliance, labeling and packaging details are checked before shipment, not discovered on the retailer's dock.
